Good Java book

Few weeks ago I found very interesting book for a Java developpers: Effective Java (Prentice Hall)
This book is usefull forboth begginers and experienced developpers since it' well-structured reference for common good-style programming.
For example: know and use the libraries. This item suggest you to basic Java libraries and tell why it's important and efficient.

I strongly suggest you to read it before doing good software

Vacation! Going wild to Crimea!

Next 9 days I'm going to be near Balaclava, Crimea, Ukraine.
I was waiting for this vacation for last 3 months, didn't swim in the sea, just to get all emotions there. And now only 12 hours left before going there.
It was a bit hard months in the matter of work, life and relationships but now it's much better.

So, see you in a week :)

Certified again :)

Today as a part of tomorrow's interview I decided to look for my weaknesses and strong points in Java. I use oDesk for this purpose the tests structure is ok and testing environment is a bit harder than usual life.
So I started to answer questions and get not bad score 3.9/5 that bring me to the 'Top 10 percent' group. I can see it as improvement in comparison of the last time.

And get the certified status:
oDesk Certified Java Developer

China Mall

Today I visited newly created scooter parts shop on Gen. Petrova.
They opened about a week ago but I didn't have time to visit them. And it was reasonable since they are not what I was looking for.
I hate some entrepreneurs who think that if something is cheap people dig it. So they trying to sell you Chinese goods: as cheap and as top items (with top prices).

As the result people who care about good performance won't buy anything (it's useless to say about performance Chinese parts - there is no good parts made in China) and the rest might buy this stuff ONLY if no other options in other shops and it's better price than others.

That's why I don't understand why they create malls for trading only China goods - it's obvious that folks with no money don't have any chance to drive (no money - no car) to the mall and left few hundreds there.

As for forecast I think their shop will exist no longer than 10 months (especially with silent ancient grandpa as the shop assistant with no real experience in anything they think they will sell).

P.S. They have 4!!!! Italian belts for scooters that just few among the Odessa ride.

"Say NO to low-quality products and goods!"

Moto GP 'Battle of Barcelona' 2009 video

I don't like Rossi since he's not in Ducati :). The same deal for Lorenzo.
But this race was unbelivebly cool!!!. Best battle ever. You must notice Rossi's tricks like braking with left foot and insane last corner attack.

Salsa dance

Yesterday was on the Salsa Dance party. In general I would say about it at least 'not bad'. Various movements of happy people - nothing strict to Process.
I'd like to join it but don't think it fits my souls for now - I can't generate such happiness day by day :)
But since today they are going to move to the beach clubs - summer is comming to town.

Winter Depression will die soon

It seems like my winter depression is going to be over since I found all good funky house music to listen.

You may already know how cool is Jamiroquai. But once it being mixed in more house style - it becomes really true music to ramp-up the mood for all months long.

So you can try download torrent file here

Bank surprises: good and bad

As I wrote before I lost my wallet again.
And one of my banks (Imexbank) surprised me a lot. Twice!

1. It took just 3-4 minutes to submit card replacement form (usually it takes about 30-60 minutes due to queues, bad personel etc.).
They promted to complete replacement in 1.5 days (sounds really strange).

2. They didn't block my card once I reported lost card by phone. Just imagine: rest of the weekend I expected to have all mycards locked. Operator said they completed blocking but they didn't! Thanks God balance remain the same.

Kiev. Motobike 2009

This weekend was awesome!

I was on motor show in Kiev where I got a chance to have a close look at many nice bike and of course Ducati!!!

What really impressed me were brand new Minsk bikes, extremely cool (except paintings: bad color schemes).

Abscence of Honda and Suzuki depressed a lot since I've counted to see new Hayabusa and Fireblade. Anyway I got a lot of fun seeing racing bikes (not replicas but solid race bolids).
After this weekend I can surely say that Ducati is pasion, they can create beautiful bikes.

Several fun things I found there:

I think I will complete details of 848, Monster and Hypermotard later on.

Wallet lost

Yesterday, at Kiev I've lost my wallet (or it's stolen).
Anyway it's a bit upset to lost money, cards, wallet (especially cards were important since replacemnt takes 8-10 days).

I just got my salary on accounts!

It's sad but I will handle it!

Neo

Hello there,

This is my new blog. For some reasons I left LiveJournal but you can read old entities here.

I hope blogspot won't load me with such amount of useless ads like it was at LJ.

So welcome to the real world, Neo! ;)
